The unusual rotation of the testis due to some lax tissues that permits the increased movement of testis inside the scrotum. It leads to the lack of blood supply to the testis. Torsion of the testis demands a need for surgery and it is done by making a small cut in the skin of the scrotum. The rotated testis is fixed by stitching to the surrounding tissue.
